An online course developer at Laureate Education, Inc., Joanna’s expertise lies in creating an engaging and inspiring course experience that meets the diverse learning needs of working professionals. Joanna’s passion for understanding how culture and identity shape individuals’ career and educational expectations led her to Harvard, where she received her master’s degree in Education, with a concentration in Human Development and Psychology. At Harvard, Joanna researched teachers’ and students’ experiences with diversity and the communication strategies they employ for dealing with issues related to race, class, gender, and sexual orientation. During this time, she also coordinated career programs and alumni panel presentations for the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Career Services Office.

As a coach, Joanna supports clients in challenging their own expectations for themselves as they pursue their goals. In both her personal and professional life, Joanna seeks opportunities to further her own learning and help others grow and develop. She loves to read, write, and travel.
